I stopped in to Trader Joe’s today to see what good stuff they had for summer! COVID note: I did have to wait in line outside the store for about ten minutes and it was SUPER hot, but this was a Sunday afternoon which is obviously the busiest time of the whole week for shopping.

In the flower section right when you walk in, I saw the cutest thing. A lil coffee plant!
Unfortunately one plant wouldn’t produce enough beans for you to rely on it to get your coffee, but you can see a few beans at the bases of some of them! I thought this was so cool.

One of the first things I saw was this key lime pie… that I wish I had a reason to buy. It looks so yum and is so affordable! But I know I’d eat the whole thing myself way too fast to be responsible. Can’t review this, didn’t pick it it up. Just wanted to lol :p

My main mission was summery snacks, of course. I was so intrigued by this Popcorn in a Pickle pickle-flavored popcorn as I have recently learned to really love pickles, and the bag was only $1.99. I will say, this isn’t bad but I don’t love it. They mean it when they say “boldly flavored.” These are intense and do have a pickley flavor! I’m not sure if it’s different from what I was expecting, haha. I don’t think I’ll be finishing the bag, but I will snack on it a few more times.

THEEEESE Elote Corn Chip Dippers are essentially fritos scoops seasoned like Mexican street corn. It’s a perfect summer flavor. They’re spicy! But sooo delicious with guacamole. I love these.

A semi-savory tropical snack, I also picked up some Sweet Plantain Chips. They had so many varieties of plantain chips, and I now want to go back and try more. I loooove these. They’re so crispy and crunchy and I just love the flavor of plantains, and that’s what they are! These chips only have two ingredients, plantains and oil. So they taste just like cooked plantains with no weird chemically flavors or unpleasant aftertaste or anything. Yay!
Being obsessed with cake I pick up whatever little mousse cakes are available that season. I expected these to still be chocolate on the inside, maybe with a layer of raspberry filling or something? All others that I have tried, throughout different seasons, have been chocolate cake and chocolate mousse. It didn’t say on the container that they were vanilla cake, just that they were a raspberry mousse cake! Either way though, these are delicious. Verrrry sweet and very raspberry-y!
I haaad to try this Sparkling Watermelon Juice. The box is so cute, but the cans are even CUTER! This is light and refreshing and the watermelon flavor isn’t crazy strong. Would probably great as a mixer, with some tequila or vodka, if you’re into that sort of thing!
I feel that this was a successful little TJ’s snack haul. Hope it was fun to read about what I got!!
