Theme Park Food I Can’t Wait to Try

Obviously now is not the time for traveling, and equally obviously, I can’t wait to get my self back into a theme park. I love theming and I love rides and I love sights but mostly, I love food! So of course there are several theme park food items that I haven’t gotten to try yet but can’t WAIT to. Pictures are not my own, as I haven’t actually ever tried any of these foods, but credits will be in the captions!

At the forefront of my mind currently is the Cheshire Cat Tail available at Cheshire Cafe, in the Fantasyland section of Magic Kingdom Park. I saw so many people post on Instagram that this was the treat they couldn’t wait to get when Walt Disney World reopened. Unfortunately, Cheshire Cafe is closed currently! But I am positive it’s not closed for good and they’re just limiting available food options in the park. ANYWAY, this pastry is loaded with chocolate and drizzled with icing. It sounds simple but everyone says it’s amazing so I need to try it.

Next up is the famous Cinnamon Bread at Dollywood. This doughy cinnamony deliciousness is served with either apple butter or frosting. I’d want to try both, for sure. I love frosting and will want it every time I can have it, but everyone says it’s best with the apple butter so I’ll try that too!

To round out the bread-based sweets, I’m also dying to try the Fun Bun from Ghost Town Grub at Knott’s Berry Farm. This is a cinnamon bun that has been fried like a funnel cake, then topped with boysenberry icing and powdered sugar. I’ve heard great reviews and it is very cute!

To throw somethin’ savory in the mix, I’m dying to try anything served at Galaxy’s Edge, because I am dying to go there. I’m not a Star Wars fan, but I’m a park fan, and Galaxy’s Edge is the most highly-themed park land maybe anywhere, and it’s host to some incredible rides. A lot of their menu is pork-based, so there are kind of limited options for people who don’t eat pork, but there are a couple chicken options and even two plant-based options. I think I will definitely be trying the Roasted Endorian Tip-Yip salad, which is a grilled chicken salad with roasted vegetables, pumpkin seeds, quinoa, and a green curry ranch dressing. It looked like a nice colorful salad, and I’d be pretty interested to try that green curry ranch dressing.

The last item that I have in mind as something I can’t wait to try is the adorable and fancy little pop from BBLz at Hersheypark. They are super ridiculous and probably each boast about a million grams of sugar, but I’ll say that you do a lot of walking at parks and as long as you’re staying hydrated you can probably handle it! There are a few different options available but they’re sodas with fun additional ingredients including Hershey’s candies, to make super sugary specialty drinks.

I’m not even sure which flavor I would pick- a few of them sound delicious, so which I pick will depend on my mood the day I finally get to visit! The Melon Baller is Mountain Dew with watermelon flavor, lime foam, boba, frosting, green apple Jolly Ranchers, and a watermelon Twizzler. Sounds super intense, but this would be a contender for me. Birthday Kiss is Diet Mist Twist with vanilla and cake batter flavor, vanilla foam, strawberry popping candy, frosting, birthday cake, Hershey’s Kisses, strawberries, and sprinkles. It’s BRIGHT pink and is also a strong contender for my order. I’d also consider Dizzy Dirt, which is Pepsi with vanilla flavor, chocolate syrup, chocolate foam, Hershey’s Mint Cookie Layer Crunch, chocolate frosting, gummy worms, and sprinkles. Other flavors available now include Laffing Lime, Whip Cream Sundae, Fizzy Flapjack (!), and All-Day PB&J.

There’s a lot on my list. And as more and more amusement parks steup up their food game, I’m sure it will grow! I’ve got a long to-visit list, and can’t wait to get some more spots checked off 🙂
