Chicago on My Birthday

Wow, I’m back from a trip! I finally went somewhere!

My boyfriend and I drove to Chicago and stayed two nights. Our last day there was my birthday.

We did a bunch of fun stuff. The above pic is from an architecture riverboat tour, which was gorgeous and fun. Everyone had masks on, and it was well-distanced. The sun was setting right toward the end of our tour and we got really pretty pictures and videos. I’ll be editing some video for sure!

I hope videos sound fun because… we got so much footage. We should be able to make separate videos for where we ate and what we did, which I’m excited for. We visited lots of classic favorite food spots, and tried some new things (which were winners that I’m very excited to share with ya). We also walked around the city a bit, and the only indoor activity we did was visit the Museum of Science and Industry. We literally did not have a choice but to visit the museum, because they currently have a big and cool Marvel exhibit.

Our second day there was super rainy, and we just drove around which was pretty and fun. And we ate of course. I don’t know if this counts as a spoiler but I am excited about it so I’ll go ahead and tell y’all where we ate. There will be more details later OF COURSE. We had Schoop’s Hamburgers, Gino’s East, Yolk., Flub a Dub Chub’s, Devil Dawgs, Stan’s Donuts, and Miner Dunn. Woo!

I’m really excited to have new stuff to talk about here. I also have my first vaccine appointment scheduled for next week (!) so I’m going to be going a few more places this year, and am ready to get fully back into my swing in 2022. Hell yeah!
